As a stay at home mom living on a tight budget I can honestly say that I rarely spend money on myself. I am pretty bargain son when I buy necessities for my son while my husband and I only buy clothing when we absolutely need to. My husband and I have a goal to pay off all our debt except our mortgage within the next 12 months so obviously money is tight and splurges are few and far between.
With that being said I do love to indulge in a good magazine from time to time. To some it may seem like a waste of money but to me it is a great way to get hours of enjoyment for just a few dollars. One of my favorite magazine is All You. I first picked this up at Wal-mart several months ago and was hooked. It is full of great articles, delicious recipes, weight loss and exercise tips, health and beauty tips and more.
Each issue is also filled with coupons for products that I normally buy anyway (some even better values than I have found in the Sunday paper). My last issue had over $50 worth of coupons including a coupon for a free can of Starkist tuna, 50¢ off Sure deodorant and a mail-in rebate for a free Woolite pod. Does your grocery store double coupons? Mine does up to 99¢ so I can save even more!
Purchase All You for just $1.97 per issue and it will pay for itself if you just use a few of the great coupons offered. Or. do what I did and treat yourself to a subscription! You don't have to feel guilty about the splurge when you are saving money at the same time!
