Broccoli In Mustard Sauce
Here is a tasty way to serve broccoli
1 1/2 pounds broccoli
2 tablespoons butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Clean the broccoli. Cut the florets and slice the stalks. Place broccoli in a saucepan and add just enough water to cover. Steam the broccoli until just slightly tender. You want the broccoli to remain firm. Drain well.
Meanwhile, place a large skillet over medium high heat. Melt butter, place the onion in the skillet and cook just until they start to get tender. Add the garlic and cook an additional 2 minutes. Stir in the sour cream and mustard until well blended. Add the lemon juice and carefully stir. Add salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook over low heat until completely heated through, stirring constantly. Remove broccoli to a large bowl and cover with the sauce.
